Week Four Funwork
1) Listen to CD #2 but also begin to listen to the third CD and of course, continue to watch your DVD daily.
2) Complete up to and including page # 49 in your workbook.
3) Take on the practice of focused discipline.To do this use the following execise:
Light the candle and place it in front of you...
a. Focus only on the flame... seeing nothing but the flame... clear your mind of everything except for the flame.
b. When you feel your mind wander, gently bring it back to the flame. Focus only on the flame. When your mind begins to wander, which it will, just noticed that that has happened and come back to the flame gently... do this with ease and calmness.
c. Begin by doing this once or twice every day for two minutes and each time you do it add another 30 seconds each time until you reach 5 Minutes and continue for 5 minutes every day.
e. Notice how your faculty of "Will" is strengthened and how it becomes easier to go longer the more you do it.
4) Practice your Empathic Listening. During phone conversations and conversations in person. Practice listening your way into other people’s world.
5) Collect pictures from magazines and brochures that represent the changes you have chosen to make in your life.
a.Use the categories from pages 41-45 in the workbook.
b.Find 1-3 pictures for each area of change.
c.Collect 5-6 quotes that inspire you
d.Once you have the quotes and the pictures paste them on a good size piece of construction paper or manila and create a collage out of the pictures and quotes. Be sure to leave some room on your board because we will add another element next week.
6) Continue to journal daily about your wins & lessons
